'BELAY' LEATHER BAG - italian mohabi cow

The ‘Belay’ Leather Bag is handcrafted in our NYC workshop from thick full-grain Mohabi cow leather sourced directly from Italy. The lining of the bag is composed of a durable cotton plain-weave fabric. The interior also features a 9.5” Lampo zip pocket and parallel open pouch pockets,  all trimmed with Mohabi Full-Grain Cow Leather. 

Our customized ‘Belay’ belt wraps around the bag and can be adjusted by means of the woven leather webbing system. The accordion shape of the bag allows for expansion and compression towards the top opening. The front matte iron clip hooks to the webbing through the flaps orifice in order to secure the hood closed. Opposing circular magnets fasten the flap on either side. 

The handles of the bag are large enough for most wearers to carry around their shoulders. The bags handles also function for hand-carriage. 

The handles measure 10” in height from the top of the bag.

The ‘Belay’ Micro Leather Belt serves as the shoulder strap for this bag. It is optional and can be added to your order separately. Two matte silver D-rings are located on either side of the bag for this shoulder strap to be attached to. 

The ‘Belay’ Leather Tassel Clip will be included with all orders of the ‘Belay’ Leather Bag on launch day. 

The bottom of the bag is finished with 5 iron dial studs that serve as feet and allow the bag to be set on the ground without damage. The belt wraps around the back of the bag, enabling it to be easily secured on top of standard rolling suitcases for convenient travel.

Keep your leather accessory clean from dust, dirt, and oils by using a mild soap solution or gentle leather cleaner with a dry microfiber cloth. Allow the leather to dry naturally.

Leather can dry out and lose its suppleness over time, so it is necessary to condition your leather bag every 3-6 months by using a leather specific conditioner or cream.

It is best to store the leather accessory in a cool dry place, and avoid leaving the garment in direct sunlight for long periods of time.

Consider taking the item to a leather care professional for deep cleaning, conditioning, or repair if it’s heavily worn or damaged.
